While Boomstick sees himself as being an Autobot, the truth is that he left the cause behind a long, long time ago. Obsessed and somewhat unhinged, he abandoned the Autobot cause to follow his own course, one that was completely at odds with the beliefs of his comrades. He now sells his services on the galactic black market as a professional monster hunter, stalking beasts of all varieties

As a hunter, Boomstick is good at what he does. When given a target, he will carefully research all available information on it before committing himself to the hunt. Once he begins, he will patiently yet relentlessly stalk his target, being careful not to reveal his presence or leave himself exposed or vulnerable. Then, only when he is certain, he will close in for the kill, eliminating his prey as swiftly as possible.

While he is dedicated to his new role, Boomstick could be best described as “unhinged”. He is obsessive to the point of often excluding all else around him, and cares little for whatever may get in his way. He also tends to rant and rave and go off on strange tangential diatribes about his experiences.

Or, as Double-Tap once put it; “Guy’s buggier then a bowlful of Scraplets”.

Capabilities

In robot mode, Boomstick is incredibly durable and resilient, able to soak up incredible amounts of damage. His efficient engines allow him to traverse even the most rugged and inhospitable terrains in either robot or vehicle modes without becoming bogged down or flipping over, while he is able to go for long periods without refueling.

Boomstick’s main weapon is his multi-function right hand. Besides its usual function as a hand, he is able to quickly interchange it for a variety of other devices. Known implements include a buzzsaw, a laser chainsaw, a power drill, an energon axe, a flamethrower, a high-powered drill and a variety of sensors. As a backup weapon, he carries a plasma-shell shotgun.

At some point, Boomstick lost his right optic and has never had it replaced. It is unclear how much this affects his operational capability.
