Bumblebee is a character from Arrival to Earth, the first series in the Unicron's Wrath Storyline.

Biography[]

Bumblebee started off as a simple Autobot scout on Cybertron. His craving for adventure steered him in a different direction. When newly appointed Autobot Leader Optimus Prime went to take refuge on Earth, Bumblebee was one of 4 original Autobots that went with Optimus Prime. Ever since then, Bumblebee has served as Scout of Team Prime and Prime's right hand bot. He transformed into a 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8. As of the end of ATE, Bumblebee was still operative.

Toys[]

Main line

  • Legends Class- Three variants of this mold was released. One was the original color scheme, the second was a black and white variant known as Phantom Bumblebee, and the third was a purple Decepticon Spy version to reflect the episode where he infiltrated the Decepticon base.
  • Deluxe Class- Three variants of the Deluxe mold were released. One was the original color scheme, the second was a CyberFire repaint, which was black with an orange fire deco on the front as an homage to the DOTM toy from two years earlier, and the third was a Decepticon Spy variant.
  • Blast Force- This was a larger than leader sized toy filled with gimmicks, much like DOTM Battle Ops Bumblebee.
  • One and three step changers- Cheaper toys for kids.

Takara

  • Deluxe Class- Color is darker to more closely match the show, more paint apps.
  • Deluxe Class (Good Cop Bumblebee)- A repaint and slight remold (sirens) of the Deluxe toy to match Bumblebee from a short kids animation developed by the creators of Arrival on Earth.
  • One and three step changers (Good Cop Bumblebee)- repaints/slight remolds for kids.

The Goldbug Fiasco

  • When the Unicron's Wrath story was revealed, it was originally a trilogy. A short Japanese Arrival on Earth teaser showed Bumblebee dead and being resurrected as Goldbug. This was cut when Unicron's Wrath became a six series storyline. However, Hasbro created 500 individually numbered gold plated Deluxe Bumblebee figures in collectors packaging and sold them online for $80 each, and it was sold out after a week. Later, a mass produced gold painted version was released in stores after many people who couldnt buy the collector's toy complained to Hasbro.

McDonalds

  • One untransformable toy was released in robot mode, with deployable blades on the arms.
