Galvatron is a decepticon in Universes: g1
When Megatron was killed by Thundercracker, his body was jetisoned into space. There it drifted until it reached the dark nebula. In this space, Megatron's body was tempered by the extreme pressure and rare materials within creating Galvatron 2. Driven insane by his spark being compressed, he set an ambush for Galvatron 1 and took his place as decepticon leader. In his brief moments of sanity, Galvatron spends his time searching for someone who can repair his mind.
