Capabilities
As Heralds of Unicron, they had a mental link to the evil entity, as well as between themselves. However, after a bit of convincing, they became Autobots and abandoned Unicron, terminating their mental link to him. And by "a bit of convincing," I mean Unicron treated them like crap and after they retrieved the remains of Galvatron, they gladly accepted the offer of Autobot-ness from Longarm.
They had a special link among them, so naturally they had the ability to become a gestalt named Magmatron. He uses a special weapon, a large laser blaster.
Behind the Scenes
- According to the creator of the two, Jhiaxus's British accent was "because Jhiaxus's name is fun to say using a British accent," while the voice of Shokaract was "an immitation of Rocky if he wasn't mentally ill."
- Magmatron, like all of the other Cybertronians (save for Etaoin), was named after a past Transformer, even though he wasn't the combination of Jhiaxus and Shokaract.
- Originally, there was a joke planned about Magmatron's weapon: the blaster was going to be extremely large and more terrifying than it actually was, and though it was so frightening, it would do nothing but shoot a small stream of water like a water gun.
