- "Tweedlesquirge"
- —Ziy
In many respects, Ziy is similar to the smaller robots utilized by Blaster or Soundwave. Much smaller then the average Transformer, he lacks both a “true” robot mode and the ability to speak. Ziy’s robot form resembles a robotic bird of prey (his vehicle mode disguise being an unmanned SAR drone), while he communicates with various electronic beeps.
That is not to say that Ziy is any less an Autobot then his fellows. Somewhat adventurous, he thinks nothing of flying off into the unknown or into enemy territory on a scouting mission. He prides himself on his ability to get in, gather information quickly and efficiently and then escape undetected. His partnership with Overclock only serves to enhance his capabilities; the scientist quickly analyzing the data he gathers.
When not searching for renegade Decepticons, Ziy works with the Empire State Coast Guard, covertly aiding in emergency operations. In several cases, the extra bit of information that he’s gathered has made the difference between life and death for some poor human, a fact that Ziy is proud of.
Capabilities
Ziy carries a battery of advanced electronic, electromagnetic, chemical, geological, radiation and other sensor types in addition to very sensitive and advanced optics, allowing him to gather huge amounts of information. He also carries a tight-beam, low-emission communicator, which in turn allows him to beam that information to his Autobot colleagues while remaining undetected.
In bird mode, he carries a high-powered laser cannon, and has a flight speed of Mach 1.5.

Behind the Scenes
- Ziy was originally developed as a part of Overclock, before being expanded into a separate chracter.
